Should I go on a forign exchange program?

I am a junior and am considering doing a one month foreign exchange program over the summer because I love seeing other cultures. I have traveled a lot and I have spent much time in Ireland because most of my family lives there. I was considering going to Scotland but I realized it would be too similar to Ireland. I then considered Switzerland but I kinda want to keep with the English speaking countries, although I do do very well in Spanish cl but I don't know if Spain would really be my place of choice. I then decided that I want to go to school in that country because it would be very interesting so I realized it would have to be south of the equator if I really want to do that so I decided Australia would be nice and I know a kid who did a one month exchange there and loved it. But before I decide I want to know if anyone knows anything about exchange to Australia that they would like to share or any other countries which I should consider. Also I would like to know if having gone on foreign exchange would make you look better for colleges or not (and I'm not just doing this for colleges but my Dad mentioned that it may look good for college so I decided I'd try to check the validity of that).
