Gilmore Girls?!?

On Gilmore Girls, Roury (sp?) goes to jail and is on prohbation when she was hanging out with that kid Logan. Why does she go to jail? I know I am a couple of seasons behind but this is what is playing on television currently, and I am very curious. First on to answer, gets best answers! Thanks!
