Are there any advantages to Metallic Paint over normal car paint? ?

There's no practical advantage to having a metallic paint finish on your car, other than making it look pretty... (but that depends on the paint colour anyway)! If anything metallic paint can be harder to match should you need to re-paint a panel of the car and light scratches won't polish out as easily as with solid paint colours. Also, if you're buying a new car and opting for matalic paint it will usually cost extra .
